Michael David Robinson is the founder of Robinson Hill Architecture, Inc., and currently acting as Principal and President of the company.

He provides design leadership and is responsible for developing and fostering strong relationships with the firm's clients, collaborators, and broader community. Michael understands that a successful design does not emerge from pre-existing ideas and previous experience, but develops organically through an open dialogue and collaboration with the client and team members. Every project site and team specific dialogue is necessary to allow unique expression.

Originally from Chicago, Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1981.The design significance of the Chicago environment remains a great influence to his character and passion for his work. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB). Michael is Licensed in 21 states, with a large portfolio of local, regional, and international projects. He passion for creating unique and dynamic spaces intersects with the everyday lives of the community.

Michael is driven to move outside any line of comfort and take on new projects or personalities that can create unique and interesting challenges and learning experiences for the company. John Hill

As the Managing Principal of RHA, John Hill shoulders the crucial responsibilities of targeting business development and overseeing operations.

Since joining forces with Michael in 1997, he has been instrumental in the continuous growth and evolution of RHA. Originally from Southern California, John earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, a testament to his deep roots in the region. With his career spanning back to 1983, he has secured licensure in multiple states, underscoring his extensive industry experience.

John's leadership shines through his expertise in managing sizable and intricate projects, always ensuring their alignment with the specific needs and nuances of their context and community.

Beyond his professional achievements, John is revered for his dedication to lifelong learning and mentorship. His guidance has been instrumental in fostering professional growth of team members and the firm as a whole. His inspirational leadership, extensive knowledge, and commitment to the field of architecture have been fundamental to the firms inevitable growth and evolution.

Alex Arie

Serving as RHA’s Project Management Principal, Alex is responsible for the development and completion of all scheduled projects.

Alex joined RHA in 1998, and has been a key contributing factor in the firm’s growth. His experience, from award winning boutique retail projects to national rollouts and large scale mixed use developments, has brought a unique combination of technical expertise and design vision. Alex’s hands-on leadership style with unmatched energy and enthusiasm, facilitate a consistent service driven project delivery process, focused on client needs.

Alex’s internal Project Management efforts can be characterized by decisive leadership, adept resource allocation, scheduling, and commitment to quality control across every project.

His pivotal role ensures a collaborative and dynamic environment, where team members excel in their work, and are united by cohesive vision. As a Managing Principal, he is coefficient through strategic planning and business development measures. His keen insight and understanding of market trends, client optics, and competitive positioning are indispensable to RHA's distinctive value proposition and growing opportunities.
